Springs 89 vert help

I have a 89 vert that I recently put intrax lowering springs on. these are the first lowering springs I have ever installed that were hard to get in. Its like I needed a spring compressor (yes I orderd the springs for a vert). I had to put them in with out the rubber peice on top. The end result the front of the car sits about 1.5" lower than the back.

What I need is YOUR experience with spring compressors, I borrowed one from kragen that wouldnt work. If you guys have any tricks or know of a spring compressor that works with the fox body please let me know.

I use the unbolt-the-FLCA-arm-at-the K-member method on my 88 GT vert. It can take as little as 15 mins per side that way. I do NOT recommend this method anymore because people seem to struggle with it, and it's very very difficult if you dont have a nice large jack with a large saddle.

The first time I did springs on that car I used an internal spring compressor. What a PITA. I had to use pipe under the head of the center bolt so it would not bottom out on the frame. And I had to disassemble the butterfly hooks and manually insert them (then re-thread the rod through them) to get it done.

If you wanna do it right, find an OTC spring compressor. It's a clamshell type compressor.

rent another spring compressure and {out of car[ compress spring and use alot of balling wire to hold it. take out spring compressure and in stall spring

take strut off of spindel and lower controll arm with jack, do this in reverse to install. when all bolts are in stalled and tight cut balling wire and done
iv done this on multiple cars it works trust me

I used the OTC compressors AND did the FCA with a jack method.

Here are some pics of my spring install. I put on the Mach1 springs with the Steeda 1/4" spacer up top to get near stock ride, but with much firmer springs.
