I want to get a suspension kit and control arms for my 89 GT. This summitracing.com kit has M-5300-B lowering springs. Just wondering if lowering springs require different control arms. Don't think it does cause the part page doesn't list any other changes required but just checking. The arms I'm looking at are SUM-790000R-W. and also if anyone happens to have experience with these and can post a review. Greatly appreciated.

No need to change the control arms for lowering springs...especially "B" springs

Except it will invariably sit too high in the back and you'll wish you had adjustable-height rear LCA's

B springs are notorious for giving a substantial rake. Most guys end up cutting at least 1/2 a coil out of the rear springs. If you haven't bought those srpings yet I would recommend you look at Steeda Sport or H&R Sport springs.

I like my b spring with a little rake. If not, use short isolators.

The Steeda Sport springs will give you a pretty good rake as well. How it compares to the B's though, I'm not totally sure.

I put the "b" springs on my 2.3t swapped with v8 suspension. Didn't notice a rake at all. I have SVE lca's.

Really crappy cell pic- Steeda springs, Tokico Blues, MM control arms and CC plates. Just put on this week so they haven't settled all the way

I have the 5300 c springs on my 89. B springs are softer than the c springs up front, you should like them.

That is lower than my B springs, but is a nice ride.
