Springs......Help?!!!!!!!!!

Hello-

New to "stangnet" - but not new to mustangs -had a "ton" of "5-0's" back in the day- a 97 cobra and then to a 03' Mach - and now to a new 07' GT - but I can't drive this thing with it's rear in the air -

I measured the stock clearance - approx 2.5" in the rear and 2"up front - I'd like to drop like an inch and half in the back - the front looks OK maybe a slight inch drop would do - anyone have pic's w/stock rims/tires and the info that have achieved this?

Does this "kill" the ride characteristics? - the only mods I have done is weld in a set of cherry-bomb mufflers (basically a rip off of flowmaster but louder) nxt up is a O/R "h" pipe - I'm thinking BBK springs - anyone know which one drops it the most in the rear?...thanks

Only a mild drop though: 1 inch front, 7/8 in rear. They are quoting a 10-15% stiffer ride. I did just the rear and feel little or no difference..... better on powering out on curves or turns. Do a search on lowering springs and you will find some posts.

Steeda Ultra Lites give you an inch front and an inch and a half rear. They're what I plan on installing next, they also are lighter weight to offset some of the weight of taller wheels, if you are so inclined.

Put ultralites on my '07 & love them the wife could not even tell the ride difference

I just installed the frpp 1.5" lowering springs a couple of weeks ago. The car looks so much better. The ride is a little firmer but I actually like it better. With no other suspension upgrades it definately handles better, sportier. I would highly recommed doing it. And you can do it yourself. If I can do it, anyone can.

Ford Racing Performance Parts
I Finished my ford racing spring install today, havent driven it yet
but the stance is much better now. The car sits even now, no jacked
up rear look anymore.

I have the FRPP springs with 18" chrome wheels and it looks great. It still rides nice too. I'd recommend them or the Steeda springs.
