Springs/Shocks/Struts

I was going to get the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs and was wondering what would be some good shocks/struts to go with it. I was originally going to get the Tokico Illuminas until I noticed they were 500, so now I'm thinking of going with the cheaper version the Tokico Hi-Performance. My main concern is just not having the ride be too harsh, because I do a lot of highway driving. How do you think that combo would be?

Might look into the strange 10 way adjustables. You'll pay about $400 give or take a few for the whole set but it gives you a wide range of flexibility for the street and track.

That being said, the Tokico shocks/struts are great pieces that will work fine without beating you to death. Always remember, though, your car is lowered now and your'e about to put "road racing" style shocks/struts on it so you will sacrifice a bit of comfort albeit probably not much.

I've been running mach 1 tokicos wtih my pro-kit springs and I have a real firm handling suspension on my 2001 gt vert. I paid $179.00 for my mach 1 tokicos...good comprimise if you don't want to spend alot more for an expensive shock/strut set up.

I second the Mach 1 shocks and struts. They are just revalved Tokico HPs.

You can get them for $170, great deal and great ride.

Also, if you want some cheaper springs look into Ford B springs. They gave me 1.5in up front and 1in in the rear. I think it's the perfect drop and they are $80 cheaper than Eibachs.

What did you pay for your Ford 'B' springs if you don't mind me asking? I paid $199.00 for my pro-kit. I got about a 1.5" drop all the way around my vert. It was right on the money for my taste...

I got them to the door from Summit for $148.

$199 is the best price on a Pro-kit I have seen though, you got a good deal

Stangsuspension.com has the "C" Spring package with the Tokico's for $415. I'm told this is the same one as the Mach1. If you want just the Tokico's, Stangsuspension, Partshopper, Steeda, FRPP, Tire Rack...they're all over the place.

I'm still debating the Mach 1's with H&R SuperSports, for you guys that have the Mach 1 schock/strut combo on a lowered mustang, how's the ride? I got a qoute from http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com for $210 shipped. Might order them tomorrow

I got my mach 1 struts/shocks and even my prokit springs from gef racing, along with a set of steeda camber plates. I paid 640 i think for all of it

The ride qualilty is awesome. Damn near to stock unless you go over a whole buncha ripped up roads, then you'll feel it. But on average every day driving.....you can't feel it at all. Also when you hit a dip, the car doesn't move. I saw a ricer the other day hit a dip and his krap bounced for atleast 10 seconds. I hit the same dip and stuck, no bouncing, no nothing

And to add...I was told that the C springs were junk compared to the eibach prokit. I couldn't be happier with my choice

Yeah I might just have to order the Mach 1's tomorrow, along with the Pro3i CC plates. Hopefully everything will come together. I'll let you guys know how everything goes.

I just put on an Eibach Pro Kit with Mach 1 shocks/struts a week ago. Rides is just a tad rougher but it's barely noticable. Body roll was reduced a ton. Car still launches pretty good as far as I can tell

The car is pulling a little to the left right now but I won't be able to go get an alignment until August since I won't be around. I don't think I'll need cc plates from reading everyone elses experience with the Pro Kit. It's dropped maybe 1 1/4 inch so far.

Paid $205 shipped for the Eibach Pro Kit and $176 shipped for the Mach 1 shocks/struts. Great mod.

I have those and i simply love them. the way the valve system is built, on the highway they are realy soft but when you push them they tighten up. Mine rides just as good if not better than stock. not to mention 100% tighter handling and much less body roll

Where did you get the Mach 1 shocks, I just found out that fordpartsnetwork.com is in the same state I'm in and I would have to end up paying shipping and sales tax. Looking for something that's not in Florida so I can skip the sales tax.

I have the Mach I shock/strut and H&R SS combo. Its been on for over a year and I don't think you could beat the combo for the price. Nice handling and comfort.

I was qouted $200 even for the spring /shock install, not too bad.. I wouldn't think the alignment would be more than $50 with a coupon from a newspaper or something.
