Springs without isolators

When i eventually get around to installing some springs (probably Ford C in about two weeks), should I take of one isolator, both or leave them all on? My car is a daily driver on clear well paved roads with very few if any irregularities. How much height does each isolator equal to?

check out slvrbullIT's thread. he just did the same thing, but he cut the rear coils because i guess they barely lower the rear of your car at all. he has pics also further down in the thread when he took out the front top isolators.

Don't really want to go about cutting springs, probably getting the job done in a couple weeks myself when i can get my hands on some free labor and jack stands.

They don't equal to much at all but you'll probably want to leave the top one on to cut down on road noise...

the c springs come with a dead coil in the rear and most people cut it to lower the rear more because uncut they barely lower the rear.

my. 02 is buy the drop you want and run isolators.

If you don't run Isolators you are going to have some extra noise. if the C springs are not enough drop sell them and buy something that is you will be happier in the long run.

removing isolators and cutting springs are just the wrong way to lower IMO. you car will dive better with a sring that is designed for a certain drop. other wise you will have noise or be able to bottom out the car.

there is about .5 in the isolators for refrence.

Maintain at least one isolator on the front & back spring - preferrably the rear lower isolator, and the top front isolator. Noise wasn't an issue in my case, but running no isolators caused a harsh ride quality.

I don't really care about ride quality, i'm the only one who drives the car and its on pretty smooth road... harsh doesn't realy matter to me
