Better be making a whole lotta power to put one of those on. You think an Automatic eats up HP, wait till you put on a 9" rear.

Im not running that lol. I have a 31 spline setup. 31 spline mosers, eaton posi etc etc. But for the 03 cobra guys who are putting down 500, 600, 700 hp....this is the real deal. Basically any 99-03 cobra can have it built and its a direct swap in.

No piecing **** together and then ya could sell your entire rear as complete.

so I'm assuming custom width's are gonna be avalible. I would never need more than 31 spline or a locker. but I need a custom width

My little 8.8 is holding up just fine.

I don't think you wouldv'e "tied up the boards" with a couple pics but nice little project anyway.

actually this wont eat up any more power than a 8.8.......this rear has the same rotational weight as an 8.8 the 35 spline axles weight just 1.5 pounds more than a STOCK 28...and overall weight is a just a bit more than an 8.8.
anyone running close to the 600ft/lb mark is at the end of a safe limit on a 31 spline axle........
Yes this may seem overkill to some but actually its not...the reasons are as follows.....
9 inch has many more available locker choices
the biggest locker for an 8.8 u can use is 31 spline
they do make a few 33 spline ones but they are near 800 bucks
ABS if retained, but can also be made for 8.8's with 9 inch ends
which eliminates leak prone c-clip eliminators.
the reason 35 spline were spec'd is because they are the same price, and with the lightening options done they are lighter than a 31 spline in 8.8/9 inch variety, so basically u NEVER have to worry.

and actually if this was a normal 9 inch with no lightening tricks done u would see it loose marginal power because the 9-inch locates its pinion gear lower on the ring gear to improve tooth contact. This strengthens the rearend assembly but at the cost of approximately 2 percent loss in power.

So let me ask you a question would you NOT put a TKO Tranz in your car cause is Robs a bit of power???

Or would you keep breaking t45's or 3650s?

I broke my rear on 17 inch drag radials!

If you make 500 600 700+ RWHP wouldnt you like to know that your rear is safe?
