Still trying to figure this out... Some times when i shift really hard my car makes a loud squeel and sounds like its chirping tires... but i know im not chirping in to 4th... Also it will some times grind randomly but usually when im turning corners or just putting it in to gear.... cant really figure it out... im thinking my clutch is the squeeling and my rear diff is the grinding... could these just be caused by the read diff... i just bought a new clutch anyway but just wanna get everything up and running right...

Another thing is that i think my car is running a little rich... when the car is cold if i rev it at all it will pop loudly... and smell like fuel... and once in awhile im getting some ping... i put in some lucas fuel system cleaner and that seemed to help with the ping quite a bit...
thanks,
-Adam

For your squeeking/chirping, have a look under the car and see if there are any shiny spots on the driveshaft indicating rubbing, as this is a common problem with our cars, especially if it is lowered. If thats the case, might want to inspect/change your lower control arm bushings, or just gring down the parking brake cable braket as far as you can. Somehow, I doubt its the clutch chirping, but I could be wrong.

For the grinding around turns, I'd vote that your rear end is due for a limited-slip clutch pack change. As far as I know, its something that can be done in your driveway, I think it can be done without pulling the differential unit itself. You'll need to pull the axle shafts out a bit and remove the main spider gear shaft (or whatever its called).

For the running rich thing, you wouldn't think it would ping if it truely were running rich. I'd say pull a few of the plugs out and have a look to see if they're carboned-up or white-ish. Also check your fuel pressure to see if its within spec.

Lastly, what are your mods and when was the last tune-up done? That might help us point you in the right direction.

yeah, if your like me, I had no idea what was replaced on my car when I bought it, so I did it all: plugs, wires, cap/rotor, pcv valve, fuel filter, air filter, cleaned IAT and MAF, replaced ECT sensor (cold-start problems), oil change. Try some of that stuff out first, then see where your at. At the very least, its piece of mind to know that everything is fresh.
