Yeah why get it, pay for it now if you are just gonna let it sit there and do nothing. Unless you are putting your meat in it and turning the screws. Masochist.

But didnt you buy your turbo in the winter??

Larry, definately electric fuel pressure gauge

Rule #1 when modding a car is dont do it on a credit card. I do plan on putting few things on the credit card this winter/spring but no more then $500. I like to have everything paid for on my car up front so that my car modding dosent become an extra bill every month.

is it just me or is this a contradicting post..

Hey, Larry since no one else has told you. The Mechanical Fuel pressure guage has to be mounted on the outside of the car. Since you have no gauges I would get oil press. and boost. If you get more gauges then I would get a temp guage. In that order, and if your like me, than you just go through the Autometer catalog and get one of each...LOL :D

I'am not here to tell anyone what to do, but don't feel that you have to buy a SC. I Know I'am not one to talk, from all the money I have in my car. I just don't want anyone to go in debt or spend more than they can afford. Thats not the reason for the club. See what I'am saying........
Don't think so highly of yourself. :D Seriously though, when I bought this car it was with the intention of blowing it, and I had never met any of you. And then the x decided to move w/ the boy. So, I put off the blower, and fought her for as long as I could and had a bill w/ my lawyer well into the 5 digit area. Now I've had him payed off for sometime now. Besides, credit is credit, whether it's for a truck like Travis or a blower, or an '03/04 cobra, and 3.99% is hard to beat. And it's not like I'm an irresponsible 19 yr.old who doesn't know how to manage his credit. Thanks for your concern though. I do respect your advice.

But the first 2 I would get would be fuel and boost, right? I do have an oil pressure guage, albeit a on/off type guage.
guages in order of most important as i understand it
1) fuel pressure (don't want a lean condition due to a faulty pump)
2) boost (to know that it's working properly)
3) oil pressure (mmmm, lubrication) already have
4) temp (I already have  )

You know if you get a blower you won't be the slowest member anymore. The guages are up to you. What ever you want to get is fine. The more the merrier. Boost is a must, FP , well you can go with out it. I would get the Oil before the FP, but thats just me. Just do this, the boost, temp and oil are cheap, so get all four. Put the oil and temp onthe dash and a pilliar for the boost and FP. That should work just fine. I wouldn't trust the stock oil press. The stock temp is ok, but you don't know how hot your running. I just like to know everything.. :D My advice get all four. With pilliar and guage pod, I would estimate around $350-375 for everything. Thats a dro in the bucket compared to the SC.. So have you decided which on to get and who will install it?

Well, I'm not gonna brag about beating Trav. :rlaugh: And it's still hypothetical. But Worden and Fred offered to help. Why, you looking for a side job? Got any references? Oh, thats right Travis has high praise for you. :rlaugh: j/k

And my b-day is next sunday, so maybe I'll get another GC and some cash and get all 4, then I'd be stylin.

Oh, and my steup would be as follows

Vortech v2-sq tuner kit(centri would go good w/ my 4.10's)
Pro-m 80mm mass air
Ford racing 42 lb. injectors
SCT custom chip
walbro 255lph pump

of course I'd need oil and new plugs and could add a power pipe if needed

about $4k total

anything else?

you said you should not mod using your credit card...$3000 or $500 it doesnt matter..modding is modding

:nonono: :nonono: You missed my point. What I mean is dont soly mod your car on a Credit Card. I spent pretty close to $4,000 last spring and $0 was put on a credit card and I'll prob spend close to another $3,000 this spring but if I pay 95% of that w/ OT money and put a few hundred down on the CC then I dont see the issue. If you set goals of how much you would put on a card then thats fine, the point that Im trying to make is dont go crazy w/ it, dont mod your whole car on a credit card, Ive seen it done before and most of the time it leads to not so good things.

The majoity of our time as a club is spent at car shows, not the track. How many times last yr did we all get together to go to the track and run times all day................... How many times last yr did we all get together and spend all afternoon at a car show............... Point being that most of our club time compremises of car shows and how much power you have under the hood has no factor at all on how the car is judged. Thats pretty apparent considering some people here have been beaten by compleatly stock yellow 4.6's and by cars that dont even have there hood up for the show. Dosent mean that other car was better or that the judging was fair. Just that Im saying the power of the car dosent mean squat when were sitting in a field at a car show.
