The majoity of our time as a club is spent at car shows, not the track. How many times last yr did we all get together to go to the track and run times all day................... How many times last yr did we all get together and spend all afternoon at a car show............... Point being that most of our club time compremises of car shows and how much power you have under the hood has no factor at all on how the car is judged. Thats pretty apparent considering some people here have been beaten by compleatly stock yellow 4.6's and by cars that dont even have there hood up for the show. Dosent mean that other car was better or that the judging was fair. Just that Im saying the power of the car dosent mean squat when were sitting in a field at a car show.

Well, I don't know about you or the rest of the guys, but I plan on spending less time at these crap judged shows with only ONE catagory for Mustangs. If it's been bad in the past, it's going to get even worse this year with the '05 Mustangs being in the same class as a lot of us. The better shows, IMHO, are the ones with multiple classes, and those are usually the larger and more fun shows to attend anyways. I want to get to the track more this year, and really work on being a better driver, and getting the best times possible out of my car.

You missed my point. What I mean is dont soly mod your car on a Credit Card. I spent pretty close to $4,000 last spring and $0 was put on a credit card and I'll prob spend close to another $3,000 this spring but if I pay 95% of that w/ OT money and put a few hundred down on the CC then I dont see the issue. If you set goals of how much you would put on a card then thats fine, the point that Im trying to make is dont go crazy w/ it, dont mod your whole car on a credit card, Ive seen it done before and most of the time it leads to not so good things.

I put all my mods on my credit card....then pay it off when the bill comes in..

Vortech v2-sq tuner kit(centri would go good w/ my 4.10's)
Pro-m 80mm mass air
Ford racing 42 lb. injectors
SCT custom chip
walbro 255lph pump

of course I'd need oil and new plugs and could add a power pipe if needed

about $4k total

anything else?

yes and it took a while just to get it. After I finally got all the pieces to the kit I started to install it. I didn't wait once I got the kit. It took quite a while to put that thing togther with all the little modifications that had to be done to the car itself. I worked on it quite a few weekends leading up to Bonney Eagle. I wasn't sure it was gonna be done in time. LIke I said I didn't order it then let it sit on the coffee table until it got warmer outside.

Thats the way I do it. Try not to spend what you don't have and can't afford to lose.
Right now I'm looking at getting a new Dell laptop. They offer 0% financing for a year. Plus I can get 20% off the laptop that I am looking at. I can make the payments for the next year and have a kick ass laptop to take with me and do some tuning on the car. Plus it has a 17" widescreen and dvd player for watching movies. Can you say 'PORNO'.

Well I got a deal on the Blower that I couldn't pass up. I work outside in the freezing ass cold all week, so the last thing I want to do is freeze out there on the weekend!! I have all winter to get it on. I can't drive the car anyway so who cares?? It will take me a total of MAYBE 2 hours to swap blowers when I decide it's time. Trust me, I didn't order it to sit on the coffee table either.

Well, I just purchased a new laptop from Dell. Not sure how long it will be before I get it because they will have to build it to my specs. This spring I will get a Tweecer RT so I can start messing with my cars computer. The laptop will help alot with this. Its time to make that car run smoother and wring a little more power out of the current setup without messing with the PSI. The Tweecer will allow me to control a whole bunch of functions but it will take time because they say it has the learning curve from hell.

Vortechs dont come w/ Intercoolers, they make kits for aftercoolers but thats it.

Only Centri blower that does come w/ a Intercooler in the kit is the Prochargers.

Thats fine as long as you have the money before hand, its the people that charge stuff on there and never had the money to pay it off , then there purchases become lengthy montly expenses.

No, that's not what I am saying. I have no problem with new cars being in a show. My point is that it sucks for us new edge mustangs and fox's when we have to compete against "classics", when we all should have our own classes. Now that the '05's are out, some shows are still going to jam us all in one class. The multiple class shows are better, but are still f'd up in the fact that fox's are competing with new edge 'stangs, and now most likely the '05's too Trust me, I am all for you guys winning trophys, you and Chris have sick, one of a kind rides, even though you are a gay f'k!!!
