Tires came today. Now it can pass inspection.


Mike are you up for a Lower Control Arm install and pulling out the AC on the weekend of April 17th? Im going to be ordering the LCA's next weds and I have the weekend after that off which is the weekend of the 17th. If so I can get it inspected and the new tires put on that friday and come up on saturday morning. Let me know

new tires and rims today. The tires at the top are 245s the middle is 315s and the bottom is a 255 I had on the car before. The pic of the rim is a 10" wide rim. Those 315s are going to look huge on my car!

Sounds good mike we'll plan on that hopefully the weather is good. Been a crap load of rain lately but by then the weather patten might change some.

The road Im on now is still pretty muddy but they just put down some crushed rock on the really bad spots so even if the road is not much improved by the time I come over I should at least be able to get to the tar w/ out any issues.

Got the tires mounted today. That wasn't cheap. Put one rim on when I was finishing up for the day and it will clear everything on the inside. The tire actually sticks outside the wheel well a little. I will know more when I put the other tire on and see if it is even side to side. If one side sticks out more than the other I can adjust the panhard rod to move the axle over a little. Man the tire looks huge when you look from the back of the car! Hopefully the rear springs are stiff enough so there isn't much compression of the suspension.
Spent a bunch of time today fine tuning the spacers for the rear brake anchor bracket. Got a digital caliper recently so I put that to use measuring the washers and figuring out which combination to use to get the bracket on nice and square. The bench grinder came in handy also when I hand to make one of the washers a little thinner.
