on a darker note, never got an e-mail like this before...

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The Maine Department of Marine Resources has suspended the enforcement of MRS, Section 6440 - Closed Periods

§6440. Closed periods

It is unlawful to raise or haul any lobster trap:

1. Summer. During the period 1/2 hour after sunset until 1/2 hour before sunrise from June 1st to October 31st, both days inclusive; and

2. Weekends. During the period from 4 p.m., Eastern Daylight Savings Time, Saturday, to 1/2 hour before sunrise the following Monday morning from June 1st to August 31st, both days inclusive, except that it is lawful to raise or haul traps during this period if a hurricane warning issued by the National Weather Service is in effect for any coastal waters of the State.

Lobster fishers will be allowed to haul and move lobster traps anytime until Hurricane Irene passes by this state.

If you have any questions please contact your local Marine Patrol Officer, or our regional offices located in Lamoine, tel. 207-667-3373 or Boothbay Harbor, tel. 207-633-9595.

Mike, they are saying 22-26 ft sees here for sunday night. Plenty big enought to ball up the ones in deeper water and smash up the ones on shoaler water. Unfortunately my hydraulic motor picked a bad time to **** the bed and I didn't get many traps moved into the lee.

we lost power from 1030am till 830pm. Had one tree drop right next to the barn. Thankfully the tree didn't hit plus I move my car out of that area in the morning.

We got nothing here, really. I am sure I lost a few traps from the seas, but other then that, i had a plastic chair on the porch turned over...no loss of power, or sattelite tv, or internet.

If I remember correctly you said you can't get those quad shocks off due to the rust. Cut the damn bolts or mounts off.

I know what he is talking abut, that's not the nut you have to take off that is actually welded onto the car. You have to undo it from the back side. Mike and I ran into the same problem when trying to get my quads off. Its a bolt that runs through them, it looks as though you just undo the nut but it wont come off trust me. Just undo the bolt from the back side of the quad. We felt like Ftards after figuring that one out

Lost my power from Sunday afternoon to tuesday night. Last night was my first night back at the house.
