Got my new rubber today. Cant wait to get them on but I have to wait until next tues b/c Im working fri, sat, sun and the shop was booked up on monday.

They are like Nitto's on steroids

I know you needed 1 new tire didn't realize you needed to do both. You are starting to do more mods and you don't even realize it.

Well atleast you guys have heard of it before. I hope to have the car back together mid day saturday. Working on the car would be a lot more fun if it were to make it faster or atleast an improvement! I put the car on the lift and droped the engine, tranny down through with the crossmember. It will be a lot easyer this way to do the work without scratching up the engine bay. I also pulled off the blower snout because it was leaking a bit from the bottom and resealed it. I have pics of things if anyone wants to see something. Chris may know the 5.0 fox cars really well, but I am getting to know the modular engines a little better than I care too!

Its not a mod bryan its a saftey factor. Its not a really good idea to mix tire brands, I mean you can do it but its not reccomended. Im going from crap stock tires such as what comes on any new Mustang and going to a high preformance sticky tire such as a Nitto. If I have a sticky tire on the back and the stock tire on the front that does not have as much grip what do you think will happen? The back will be grabbing and biting traction while the front will not be able to hold as well and may let loose. Not a chance Im going to take when I can just get 2 brand new tires.

Once again anything I have gotten for the bike has been more for saftey then anything else. The only thing that may have added HP is the exhaust and its just a slip on not a full exhaust. Its like getting just a cat back and keeping the stock H pipe.

Thats why the front tire should always be in the air...:D

well I won't have my car a Pete's on saturday. My car is in apart because after I replaced the lifters there was still a slight ticking noise that was driving me nuts! I spoke with the ford tech line and the 32 valve engines are having problems with #1 and 3 cylinders valve guides. They said it starts as a ticking, then a rough idle and will throw a code. So I am in the middle of a head replacement. I had heard of all the probems with the drivers head but not the passenger. Have you guys heard about this before? I guess this head should be a updated part that mid 04 cobras are supposed to already have.

So did yours throw a code? If so, what was it?

That sucks man. At least you are taking the bull by the horns and are doing it yourself. Let us know how things turn out!

Well guys, I am going to be tackling my oil leak myself today. I have a suspicion that it is coming from the o-ring on the oil cooler, or the gasket that is between the oil cooler adapter and the block. I stopped at Ray Haskell Ford yesterday, and picked up 2 new gaskets. If this is not the source of the problem, then I still have an appointment with Wiscasset Ford next Saturday. They are supposed to fix my rear window(bad seal), my wing(tape is showing again), and locate the source of the leak. Hopefully I will at least have the leak taken care of by then. Once I know the leak is taken care of, it's time to hit the track guys!
