http://www.verycoolparts.com/Stack.htm

probably the coolest intakes i have ever seen

but how would they be on a 100% street driven 1995 vert with a 410ci engine?

i'm guessing people will say the runners are too short and the low end will be soft. but with 410 cubes and the right cam, couldn't the low end torque still be as good as or better than, say, a 347?

with one of those, i could raise my engine up high enough that the kooks won't scrape on everything under the sun ...

would an older fox computer (pre-mass air) work with an intake like this?

Goddamn that looks delicious
Pretty steep price-wise, but I'd get one if the budget allowed. I'd have to guess that would have to be ran using a speed-density computer, or an aftermarket system like the F.A.S.T. or AEM. I plan to build a Shelby Cobra replica some day, this would be a great addition.

no MAF. the controller would be MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) based, or something like that ... FAST, AEM, BS3, something like that

i may have to do this, along with a DIS. we can't take the money with us when we die anyway, right?

In a parallel thread over on hardcore5.0, Ed Curtis says:

Ed Curtis said:
Chris,

The Ozzies use these all the time on the Monaros (GTOs) with incredible success. I was planning on a set up like this for my own GTO.

For engine management, best to go straight to a BS3 or similar system. The OEM ECU would probably be too much BS to incorporate all the trinkets required.

there are little filters that go on top of the stacks

of course, i'll have to make the cobra hood inserts functional to get cold air to the stacks...

They put one of those on a 347(I think) on Horsepower TV a month or two ago. IIRC it made some nice HP and the torque was still pretty good.

You should put the stacks through the hood and then run the headers straight up through the hood too.

i thought those only aided combos that revved really high....otherwise it was pretty much a waste of time? other then the cool factor....id certainly wouldn't put those on anything without some killer heads..maybe some ported trickflows. id really like to hear how they sound on a 5.0 tho. a buddy of mine had them on his honda
