Stainless Steel Brake Lines

Lines

So if I wanted to avoid all of this mess, what are my other options? I can buy the stainless front lines as I haven't modified much and the pre formed lines should fit in the front. But the line to the rear and 2 rear lines won't fit. So, instead of going through hell to bend stainless lines, how can I get a decent setup that won't corrode? Is there another material I can use that will prevent corrosion? Thanks.

How long does it take for the lines to corrode? Also, someone told me to use steel lines with dot5. I heard of someone doing this in their 68 and has not had issues with regular steellines. Any truth to this?

If you are talking about the rear-axle lines and where they connect to the rear brakes....

Let me suggest you look into the braided-stainless lines, the ones intended to hook up front calipers. They should work to connect the factory pre-bent line to just about any aftermarket brakes I could imagine. Only negative is that if you don't have banjo fittings on your rears you'll probably have to special order a set, most of those on the shelf are for the late model type application.
