After reading a lot of threads about stall converter ,i am think of going with a 3000rpm edge racing converter with a transgo shift kit.I will be putting a ported cobra intake in as soon as i have time away from work and school.I also will be doing heads in the fall.

Now my question is how hard is it to install a converter?Do i need to get a tranny cooler right away and if i dont get one when the parts are install what could happen?

thanks
Jesse

I have a 2800 Stall with a Trans Cooler.. With that converter things heat up a lil bit.. Id do it right the first time and Buy the cooler with it. Time wise how how long it would take you to install just depends on how good you are with trans and what not..
But do it right the first time.. you dont want to be kicking yourself later on

My edge stall has been in since Oct. of 2004 - my new tranny cooler... still sitting on the shelf in the garage.

Good article. Now I feel even worse. LOL

I guess I'll replace the fluid and filter when I hook it up.

Nope... putting it off until I can afford a new radiator just like I have been. First I have to fix my fuel gremlin problem. With my car not idling... I don't let the converter slip much. WOT it runs great. LOL
