Stall Converters????

aod tranny? i would call edge racing and see what they say. the best converter is going to be a custom one made for your car. as far as shift kits go, not too hard but easy to screw up if you are careless. imho i would rather by a valve body with the shift kit already in it than have to pull mine and tear it apart. but thats just me

if you get a trans-go shift kit get the newer one that has the video......i bought the older one off e bay with just the instructions and i figured it out but was scratching my head a little at some of the instructions. apparently the newer trans-go kits have an instalation video....you actually have to drill a couple holes in the valve body.......if you've done shift kits before it might not be so bad but if your new to them the aod shift kits are one of the bigger P.I.T.A.......

if you prefer, performance automatic sells the entire valve body with shift kit for about 160 ish i beleieve......transgo shift kit is about 90 or 100 so it isn't that much more depending on if you wanna fiddle withit yourself or not. there's also some other full manual valve bodies available from lentech....they are pricey though ( 4 or 500).......

as for converters, as long as it's a lock up converter if it's a street car one of the above mentioned brands (edge, and precision industries-P-I) seem to be whats the best for aod's although i have no personal experience with them......here's a link to a description of the P.I converters
