Not always. I had an old Harley that the coil went bad in. It died and wouldn’t restart until it had cooled down.

Good point, I had a Suzuki that had the same problem... Mechanic told me when the coil heated up the broken wire inside it would move further apart, then come close enough to work again when it cooled down.... Forgot about that.....
