My car has just over 40,000 miles on it. For the past few thousand miles the car has felt wierd. At first it was mostly under partial throttle, when the trans would shift the car would kind of hesitate. I believed this was because I was overdue for a Trans Flush. Last week I went to Jiffy Lube and had them flush my Trans. After that the car felt better, but not 100%.

Now the car feels really bad under partial throttle. Almost like the car is shaking/ bucking a little while just crusing down the road. And yesturday I was driving down a straight/ flat road holding my RPMs at about 1500, and the car felt like it down shifted, then shifted back up into gear, but my RMPs never changed.

These problems only happen at partial throttle. If I floor it, the car will run smooth through all of the gears. I dont hear any noise comming from the Trans or the Rear Diff. I just feel this wierd hesitation/ vibration.

I need help...... :(

I don't know what your problem is either (necessarily) but the first thing I'd do is check the fluid on the dipstick. Do you know how? If not, there should be two circular holes on the dipstick and two lines above the two holes. The fluid level should be between the two circles when the transmission is cold (5+ hours of sitting) and the fluid should be between the two lines when the transmission is hot (been driven a little). That's where I'd start. Not enough fluid will cause slippage and too much fluid can cause "foaming" which can destroy your transmission. (I just changed my automatic fluid in my truck so this crap is fresh in my cranial unit) :)

Check the fluid with the car warmed up. While it's running, put your foot on the brake and cycle from Park to R, N, D, 1, 2, (3)? then back to park, and then check the dipstick. That gets the fluid in the tranny good and will give you a better reading.

Took the car to a shop I trusted today. They checked the trans fluid level and said it was fine. They didn't really offer me any suggestions on what could be wrong, so I went to CarQuest and bought new plugs and a fuel filter. I will install those and see what happens.
