I've got a 2000 Stang GT. I've just replaced the tires with BF Goodrich G-force T/A KDWS. I noticed that my car now produces a rather loud hum at 30+ mph. So loud that it is difficult to hear the beautiful music coming out of my exhaust pipes. I was wondering if this could be due to the tires cupping. What is a sure way to check for that sort of thing?

Sorry but I don't know about checking for cupping but I also bought the KDWS tires for my 02 and out of four tires two were out of round causing a bad vibration. I took the car back to the tire shop and had them replaced.

I'm sorry to hear it, I just had my KDW's (265/35/ZR18) installed on my FR500's and I dont hear any hums or anything.

It would probably be a good idea to take it by a reputable tire shop and have them double check the tires to make sure they are balanced and what-not.

The "hum" might just be the result of a different tread pattern and harder compound.

I've heard that they have a little more road noise.

I'm about to purchase a pair since the Eagles that I have POS's.

How do the KDWS ride and corner?

I just got new ones after wearing out the old ones. They stick awesome on dry and really good on wet. Snow is ehhhh, but hey these things are sleds in the snow anyways. Just make sure to be religious about rotating to get maximum life. I think they ride great once warmed up. They seem a little squirley for the first few minutes. I got them after I went to get the Conti Extreme, the shop couldnt find the 4th tire, so I got the KDWS for the same price. Woo hoo!
