Myself and Vinyl66 got to do the Pass Show in Atlanta back in May. We have been told that it should aire this evening on Speed Channel at either 9 or 9:30
We got picked to do the combo round. If the 1st car up is dark green 69 Slomaro then that's our show...

Cool, I watch it most nights so I'll be looking for you. Last night a very fast, (world record holder in the 10.5" tire class @6.49) Mustang hit the wall First time that's ever happened on the show they said.

It was on at 7:30 pm eastern. Pretty cool that you both got to answer questions.

Ken Herring: "Why do you have drag radials on the back????"

Vinyl66: "Better traction!!!"

Man it was cool seeing my car on the big screen. We had a good experience w/ the folks involved. Guess that's my 15 min's or less of fame. Good times....Now I just need to some some engine work so I don't get blown away so bad next time.

Thats cool. I saw it and was wondering if this would come up on here.

You both have nice cars. What do they both actually have for drivetrain? That red coupe was a bit faster than I thought it would be. Is yours really mostly stock?

Mine is a 289 4sp w/a 8" 3.80 trak-loc. Yes it's a stock bottom end w/ flat top piston's, stock cast 289 heads w/ rr. single plane intake w/ 600 dp and some tri-y's and Your old Ram Air set up. I wish they would have shown the engine pic's but you could clearly see the ports in the grille close up shots. I did some suspension work to get it to launch better.

Vinyl66 has a 347, 185 AFR's, Vic Jr, Longtubes C-4 W/ edge convertor I think and 3.55 gears. His car is for sure a sleeper. I thought it was sweet that his little coupe ran faster than the guy w/ the Red 98 turbo 414" Camaro and will smaller tires..

Yeah, I think Ken liked that too!

It was cool seeing our cars on the show! I wish I knew what my 60 foot was because I know it was slooo. We didn't get a timeslip. Me and David were both 3 tenths off of our best times.

I also liked their comments when they said they didn't learn anything about our cars too.

It was an awesome experience being on the show! The worst part was waiting for the episode to finally air.

I looked at both of your cardomain links in your profile. I saw your ram air setup it looks nice. Is it the Spectre one that they sell at A'zone? I saw Vinyl66's too. Is his some type of stock air cleaner with 2 snorkels? Do you feel that it works well? I currently have a KN Xstream top air cleaner. I wonder if something like what you guys have is that much better.

I feel stupid for asking about the drivetrain when its in your signatures.

I wish I could see my car on a show like that. It must be great to see it?
