We're looking more car like now, with doors and fenders. Had to resort to the farmer method of alignment on the drivers side fender, guess that fender wanted to be on the original car it came from. It got settled in.

Parts arrived from UPR, hopefully it'll have real front wheels shortly

boy i have never seen a mustang with airplane wheels up front, it must be a whole lot easier to launch without all that front suspension.

everything of course looks top notch, wondering why you didn't paint the K memeber?

we should have a race, who can finish there t top notch first..

The car is looking beautiful, as I expected. Terry, you may have addressed this earlier in the thread but if you did I missed it and I apologize, but are you going to keep the flat black "raccoon eyes" headlight buckets? Just curious...

Thanks, yes it will be racoon eyes and the eggcrate grille ,also the center of the hood will all be dark charcoal, also window trim, and sail panels. It took two days and about $200.00 in different shades of gray and different versions of clearcoat from totally flat to eggshell to semigloss to come up with the right shade. I just couldn't bring myself to paint that k-member, but I think it will still work with our non-bling engine theme. Very soon the airplane gear is coming off, get ready for pics.

It's been so long that we've been looking at this thing with airplane landing gear that we started to forget what we were even working on, so took a few minutes to do this, well worth it. Turns out it is a foxbody mustang afterall.

Actually thought about using them. Would it be cool to see a set of those 12'' wide sporting 13.5'' wide tires, and painted gunmetal with a polished lip?Thewife has always hated 93 Cobra rims, the're on her 93 Cobra cause they belong there.
Or do we go with a deep dish, more updated look?

I think if you go 4 lug the ROH rims are the best looking, now i might be a bit bias but every car I see with a set just looks mean.
IM going with Anniversary wheels on mine, I was also looking at FR500's

At least you let your wife drive the kewbra, I dont let mine touch any of the fox's, i mean she f's with the ash tray door, she doesnt know how to respect fine american engineering. She can race her Jetta around all she wants
and i never taught her to drive stick (on the road )

did U mini tub that gem? Mine had so much rust in the back that we cut the back end off of an SVO and replaced the rust insted of trying to patch it.

good work terry were all watching you

Yes, we used Auto Weld Chassis mini tub, it was the easiest way to get past the rust and I've always wanted to do one.

Looks like hammered paint.....I use that stuff on every job I do.

I would LOVE to see this.. The super wide cobra rims. But then again, Cobra rims aren't for everyone. I seem to be one of the few people who love them..

S&B i agree with the ROH also if staying 4 lug also as another option. If you went 5 lug i say FR500.. I'm kinda bias though

*cough*

I like this idea, would be completly original, and would fit that car so well... if only you could get those deep dish in the rear with a small dish up front.

I also think like a gunmetal BBS wheel would look killer. Fiske also makes really nice wheels.

Personally on that car i would shy away from the normal mustang wheel and go with something that no one has ever seen before.

I'm one of the people who dislikes the 93 Cobra rims...

Don't use them!!!

, either way the car will be a work of art.

Is it possible to minitub a mustang without having to back-half it? I would love to minitub my car and put some 12" wide rims with 345s in the back but I don't want to go as far as back-halfing the car.

This car is not backhalved. The stock rear subframes are still in place. Good setup for a mostly straight line car.
