I noticed that my starter is about to die on me. No big deal I got three of them laying around. I hear the trick is to use an Escort 1.9L Starter so it won't be too close to the header (I got the big mofo truck starter). Anyway where will it finally die?

I bought a new one from Cantire for $99.99 and it came with a 5 year warranty. Easy install... if you have enough extensions for the top bolt!

also... When mine went I was at the girlfriend had to bump start it and drive with an awful rattel(the starter internals had blew up!)! It was crazy!

Well here is the update! It died at my parents (Yay!). I went and bought a new starter, installed it and it did the same thing! Battery is new and at 1000AMPs it wasn't the problem. I think the problem is my flywheel that's crooked and now the starter bindex (gear) grinds into the flywheel. But I discovered a problem with the 302 as well... I think my valve springs or lifters are f***ed. Doesn't matter I replated my ZX2 (Good thing I had so many problems trying to sell the thing).
