I recently upgraded to the 120 amp alternator and every since my starter always hangs up for a brief moment after my car starts. I can see a small load on the amp guage even if I quickly "tick" the motor and it doesn't start. I have also disconnected the starter wire from the fender mounted solenoid and when I energize the key, I can see a small load on the amp guage. Is this a bad solenoid or starter? Anybody seen this before?

I had the same problem, the starter would run for a couple seconds after the engine started.I have a mini torque starter and found out there was suppose to be only one wire from the starter on the neg side of the selenoid, dont know if thats your problem or not

:stupid: There are two wires coming from your starter to the solenoid. Make sure the big one is on the side of the solenoid that the battery comes to and the smaller wire is on the other side. If you have them both on the same side then it will hang. I did this by mistake too.
