Starter solenoid for 89 fox

well, the genious that wired / relocated the solenoid, in all his wisdom decided the wheel well was the best place for it, but no not where it would be clear of the tire but in fact right next to and just forward of the strut.... So when the wheel is hard over the tire rubs on one of the solenoid posts which decided to break off yesterday. I am going to re-wire the damn thing, where is a better place to relocate it?

Also, there is an ass load of power wires jumpered off my solenoid, so much so that you can barely thread the nut to the solenoid post. Can I use a distribution block like this instead of have 10 wires coming directly off the terminal?

My battery is in the trunk. and my bay is "somewhat" clean.
