Starter?????

I think it is. It is my daily driver. 88 2.3L hatch.

Started the car after work this morning. Car started fine, no problems. Made a 20 minute stop. Came back out and all I hear is the solenoid clicking. No turning over, just click every time I turn the key. Battery has lots of power. Definitely not the battery.

Car has not given me any type of trouble starting until today.

I think it is the starter, anyone else have an opinion before I rush out and buy a new starter?

If the starter relay is clicking, it probably is the starter.

Same thing happened on my Tempo last winter. Starter was finnicky once and then just died outright. Friggin' car.
