i rebuilt a 5.0 from a 93, trashed the cast pistons for some forged, put a B-cam, advanced it 4*, got some thumper e7s, and got a stock lower ported, by Tmoss, then i port matched and cleaned up my upper. then of course everything i have in my sig which i am running currently...

should be a step up from my stock 145k engine i am running now!

you "should" be around 260hp, and you "should" run 12's with traction, good luck. Sounds great

260 sounds a bit optimistic.

Low 13's are likely what the timeslip will look like.

I got new mounts today, i just got some parts store ones, they work for me :O

I've rana 13.9 with a stock engine, and it had more in it when i ran that, too much timing, and i had room to improve my 60', so i say it had 13.7 potential. Or maybe lower. mob has similar mods like mine and ran 13.5

i am hoping for the best.

I think the stock intake is going to be a bit of a bottle neck, i'd look at replacing that next.

It's not bashing, it's being realistic. I've been around stangnet for time, and mustangs since started driving in 92. Seen tons of E7 ported guys come and go, Most if not all run low 13's.

I also happen to have a copy of Tmoss's dyno records that he keeps from all different combos, and according to that chart, the ones with cobra/gt40 style intakes and others, make more power.

Instead of us going to another site, maybe members that only want to hear positive reply's and things they want to hear, should put with their post title "yes men wanted".

I've read foxfans posts here, seems to be be a down to earth guy, and i think he appreciates what people have to say, regardless of wheter or not it's what he was looking to hear.

I ran a 13.6@102.15mph with a 2.05 60 foot with the mods in my sig, oh and the ambient temp at the track was 95 degrees. Tires were spinnin pretty bad half way through 2nd gear and I had a ton of crap in my car, I could easily drop 100lbs off the car, weighed 3360 with me in it. Im getting some drag radials, I definatly think there are 12s in the thumper combo.

If you get it dynoed be happy with anything above 250 rwhp. Mine made 250 untuned with 10 degrees timing and 44psi fuel pressure. I upped the timing to 15 and dropped the fuel pressure to 39 and it picked up 10rwhp in 90 degree weather on the dyno. When I put my 1/4 mile mph in a hp calculator it said the car is making something like 265 at the wheels. Its not far off from what the dyno said, so I believe it.

With sticky tires be happy with low low 13s or high 12s. I know I will be stoked if I run a low 13 or a high 12 next time I go. I also plan to go when its not hotter than hell out for once lol.

whatever it runs, i think i will be pleased, even if it manages only a low 13....

Tmoss says his ported stock lower actually makes a little more power down low than the gt-40 intakes.
and with the stock valves on the thumper heads and the great portwork.

It should be a pretty torqy and snappy street car, should make power a little sooner than the big valve and huge cam engines.... being more streetable.... the street is where its driven 95%# of the time... so it works hehe

only way to tell how it will run is to get the sucker in there and go to the track, i will post my ass dyno readings first haha!

Id say ditch those stock valves. They seem to be the biggest bottle neck in the heads. Good valve job, larger valves and some milling can do wonders for your already thumper'd up heads. It will probably be 250 rwhp and low 13s, but with that work done and maybe a better intake, and hello mid 12s.

12s are not hard to attain, especialy on worked E7s, and the right supporting mods. Just have to drive it hard, and not be afraid!

E7's aren't worth bigger valves/valve job/milling.

That's like $500 in work.

I've seen a pretty good group's worth of ported and cleaned up stock motors run 12's. How well the combo matches up will make or break your quest for 12's. Stome stickyness will certainly help out as well.

I for one, will be looking for you to break into that zone. Good Luck!
