why is it that when I try to start the car the first time it wont but always will the second time even when I prime the pump 3 times over... this is only for the first start up of the day unless it was sitting for a good while
Most likely it's the check valve. If that's the only issue, it's no biggie. Lots of us deal with it. It would be like if there was a check valve in the water line to your house. The first time you use your sink in the morning, the faucet spits air and sputters for a couple seconds but then you have full pressure, and it's fine all day. Same idea.
Other causes are a bad FPR or simply a weak pump. Both of those should show symptoms at other times though.
