Ok I got my longtubes & x-pipe installed by a Ford tech...and he said that neither the MIL eliminators or the o2 extension wires I gave him fitted. The o2 Extension wires are even Steedas!! My car is a 98 GT...anyone ever heard of this? I'm gonna try for myself tomorrow, but I trust this guy because he's done this hundreds of times. It just drives me crazy cause I thought they were all the same.

i was confused to on mine, until i read the instalation guide.. my light is still on and i used a programing thing to turn it off..and it came back on waste of money

a programming thing? like a hand held tuner?

the diablosport predator and the sct xcalibrator will shut off the rear o2 sensors, but you need to get someone to tune your car for the long tubes because it may throw a code just because the reading is different on the front o2 sensors now also. usually they just delay the timing that o2 sensor is expecting. if you dont you normally have idling problems and such.

I don't think that it's necessary to get a tune afterwards, but since the front o2 sensors are further back they're not getting the reading they expect. My car has been running for 2 months without the tune and it has idle problems, nothing serious though. A tune is always a good thing to have though!
