I'm looking to further my suspension mods and better my looks by adding some springs/shocks/struts. I've pretty much settled on the FRPP/Bullitt/Tokico set-up for my shocks and struts. I thought I was settled on the FR C-springs, but I also like the Steeda springs as well.

According to my searching, they are a very similiar set-up performance wise (Drop...Spring rates...etc), but the Steedas are about $100 more than the C's. Can anyone with experience with either of these set-ups tell me whether the extra $100 is worth it for a street car? Would I just be paying for the name if I went with the Steedas or are they really better?

I've searched past threads and looked at the parts review...didn't quite answer my question...any help or recomendations are appreciated...

I use the C springs and am happy with there performance. Steeda stuff also has good reputation when performance and quality matter.

The "C" springs carry a stiffer 50lbs progressivly over the steeds sports in the rear, and 'claim' drop of .25in in the front over steeda.

Other than that they're close.

Anyone know how much the Steeda and "C" springs weigh?

I got the Steeda and like them. Not too short, but still stiff and sweet

So if they are that close together performance wise, I imagine the better "value pick" for my DD street car would be the C-springs???

I'm not trying to be a cheapazz and I have no problem paying extra for a quality part when it's warranted, but if I can get the same quality and performance at a better price, I'm gonna go for it. I like Steeda products, but I don't wanna get into paying more for the same quality parts just because it says "Steeda" on it. I do have a bit of a tendency to lean towards their stuff, but $230 vs $130 for basically the same thing...you'd think it would be an easy decision...

You are a cheap ass!

jk

I myself would get the C springs if the drop was lower. I think I'll go with H&R Sports since they are lower than the C springs but higher than the Super Sports which would rape my car on Detroit potholes. My car already is a rattle trap with the stock suspension.
