I have a 90 Mustang .........I ordered and just recieved(thru the mail) an 89 TILT steering colum, the steering wheel itself and the "little" cover(the small round cover that the tilt handle goes though)...the only thing that didn't come is the larger cover that goes around the colum between the dash and the smaller cover...........MY question is ........will my 90 "larger cover" fit the 89 tilt colum???????Thanks in advance.

Unsure, i think you will need to use the actually 87-89 column shroud. I don't think the newer stuff will work.

The older trim will match up with the newer dash fine.

I seem to recall, but may be mistaken, that the 'newer' (90-93) covers can be used but don't look as good because of the larger gap between the cover and the column. The newer covers also have more of a squared off look to them.

The covers are frequently sold on eBay if you want comparison pics.

I have a 90-93 black interior in my '88

I still have my tilt column and used the 87-89 column shrouding. It fit perfectly and looks like it belongs there.
