looking through some posts tpday, I came across this chart that I think is helpful when swapping out the fox steering rack for a later model.. The scale is from 1 to 6 with 1 being the best.

The effort levels in that chart don't really jive with what I've heard from the former ford engineer on c-c.com. I'm pretty sure the cobra rack is firmer than the GT and Mach racks. But the "desirability" is spot on. And they're ALL an improvement over any rack that ever came from the factory in a foxbody, except maybe the 93 Cobra R.
