steering rack

Recently I put a rebuilt rack in my in mustang .The steering feels a lot lighter instead of the more sporty feel. Someone told me that the rebuilt racks have a different relief spring or generic one that make it feel light.Any chance of getting one from ford and replacing said spring

Yes but you are better off for the money switching to after market rack like flaming river. I dont know what the part number for the spring is but I have a friend who change dhis and it wasnt too hard..it is messy though.

also maybe check the alignment if you havent. I think if your more toe-in then it may be easier to steer and over-steer for that matter, but i dunno
