steering shaft

I had to disconnect the bottom of the steering shaft to get my Mac LT's on. Now I can not get the stupid shaft hooked back up. Is there some trick other than disconnecting the header to get it back together.

some people have made "clearance dents" in the header tube to get them to fit better

Man I had the same problem.....got to the point I could not get it back on so the BBK unequals went back in. Smacked the tube that was the culprit to try to make it clear but all it did was allow it to hit it when the steering wheel was turned....LT's suck man all the way around. Hang too low, burn up starters, mess up clutch cables....not worth it if you ask me. The gains are not worth the hassle. JMO. By the way my MAC LT's are for sale.
