From what I've read on another forum. Saleen puts there own logo there, but it is just a sticker over the OEM pony piece. They use an overlay that has the pony cutout so they can apply a sticker over top and gives it the smooth appearance.

Mine too, noticed it last fall. I was going to get them to replace it when I was in for my next oil change. I have done nothing to cause it and my car lives in a garage when it's not being driven and that's for all of 5-6 months a year.

Hm something needs to be done here, does anyone know if ford sells the emblem seperately yet? It's rediculous, my car spends it's days sitting in the garage under a cover, only has 15,000 miles. This shouldn't be happening!

It did this before I used Armor-All. I've only used 303 in the past but it is no excuse for the emblem to disintegrate like this.

There is no reason to settle for armor all. Stick to the 303 or something similar that isn't cheap oil-based stuff from wal-mart.

I still use 303 and prefer it, but I found the Armor-All Natural Finish to work just as well (NF does not contain silicones or oil).

I've never used armor all on mine. Only 303 (and I've never applied it to the logo itself anyway). And it's still messed up.

yeah i definitely wouldn't use armor all just because i like the nice finish the factory has, don't wanna add any gloss to it, but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

honestly, if i ever have this problem. i'm going to throw a 2010 logo on there.

The *****ty Armor All is glossy. The Natural Finish Armor All is pretty damn good from what I have seen, it's almost like 303 but available OTC.

07 GT, also starting to delaminate under the clear. It has nothing to do with any protectant used, so why are we still talking about it?

I have never used anything like amoral on my car, all natural and the damn thing sits in the garage all the time. It has nothing to do with protectant. Does anyone know if Ford manufactures this piece alone?

This happen to mine as well. I had it replaced under warranty. The dealership had to replace the whole airbag assembly.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the only way to replace it. Sucks but I've since given up worrying about the spotting.
