Ive got an 04 with 33,000 miles. I went out for a cruise the other night pulled out of the driveway and noticed a tiny squeak coming from the steering wheel when i turn it left. I searched and didnt find anything most were having to do with rack and tie rod etc.... I know it just needs a little wd40 and i found this link(BULLITT FR500 Steering Wheel Installation) just asking for some words of wisdom on the matter. Thanks in a advance!:SNSign:

I have observed the same problem on my 02 GT. I know no one responded to this old thread and I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this. Thanks!

I also have this problem. As Adrock suggested (in another thread), spray white lithium grease on various bushings, one at a time, to isolate the source of the squeek. I intend to do this. If I can find the guilty bushing, I'll replace it with poly bushings.

I'll start with the steering rack bushings.

i had the fr500 steering wheel on my last 2 mustangs and i loved it, i need to scrape together the funds to put it on my cobra but installation is straight forward. you just need a pulley puller / steering wheel puller. auto zone has this to rent to you for free or cheap
