steering wheel wont come off

i have used the 3 jaw puller and put so much force on it that the aluminum around the inner part of the wheel is starting to crack! WTF?!?! is there some step i missed? the torx bolt is out and all the buttons are disconnected. any tips??

should i heat it up with a propane torch??

do whatever it was that u did to get it off, that should get it off lol

i think the socket i put over the end of the shaft of the puller was off center a little.

it took about 6 times of repositioning it and it finally came off. the FR500 went on very easy after the old wheel came off.

easy way to take wheels off on a lot fords is to take the nut off, then put back on a couple threads and rock the wheel back and forth till is slips off and hits the nut. i dont think any of the techs at my dealer even own a steering wheel puller. whats nice is that on some models they eliminated that setup all together and all you need is an 8mm socket to get the wheel off.
