Stereo Head Unit Remove

Guys, Know this probably a stupid question, but I honestly searched for awhile and could not find any good documents on removing the stock stereo on an 01' stang.

Is the surrounding plastic hard to remove? Is there a point in the plastic moulding where I can begin to un-snap the clips to remove the plastic to get to the stereo screws?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No, see the two holes on either side of the stereo faceplate. You will need to go to Wal Mart and get a stereo removal tools. They fit into those holes and then the radio is pulled out. That is all.

he has an 01, diff system. go look in the sound and shine forums, somone posted a bit of a guide to takin all the stuff off. its kinda hard to get off cuz u dont want to break it, but it takes some force.
