stereo install, quick question

i have a stereo install kit that says it is for a 2001-2004 mustang, when my dad bought it the guy said it would work on my 91 gt. When i held it up to the dash it did not look right, cant get it in there w/out breaking tabs, and i didnt want to break the tabs off to find out it wouldnt work. Will it work, and fit right, or would going out and buying one specifically for a fox body make for a better fit?

I've never seen/used one for a 2001-2004 but I can tell you even without, one made for a Fox will probably fit better. Many things have changed over the years, including mounting of the stereos, and I don't see why the kits would not have followed.

Return it and get the right one.

apperently the foxbody kit does not exist. At least not in this town... no1 has it....

btw... i'll look around my house to see if i have an extra somewhere...

we went to wallmart........they had nothing

we also went to kragen, pepboys, autozone, pacific audio, every where, no one has it

If you can't find one locally try eBay or Crutchfield. I picked up a kit for my Expedition on eBay for like $12 shipped.
