I'd like to replace my stock deck with an aftermarket cd/player. Is there a deck out there that will fit with just a new wiring harness? I've checked crutchfield and it states that I have to do a bunch of re-wiring work to the factory amp for any new stereo that I buy.

I don't really care to much about how loud my stereo is, I just want something decent that plays CD's. Also, where is my factory amp? I have a 1990 Notchback.

Thanks!:D

You won't have to do a whole bunch of rewiring. Crutchfield will send a bypass harness that you will put in the place of the factory amp. All you'll have to do is pull the plugs out of the amp and put the harness in.....no rewiring.

I think the amp should be under the stock deck or under the passenger seat. The previous owner of my car took it out so I can't really tell you an exact place.
