I just read that too and it completely bummed me out. I LOVED watching that guy and he was so enthusiastic about what he was doing. I feel for his family and my prayers are with them

Damn, that sucks I always loved watching his show. That man was crazy, im really suprised it took this long the way he acted around all those deadly animals though. I feel sorry for his wife and kids though that would be rough!

stingrays can get quite large:

with serrated barbs up to 10 inches long:

though it is VERY rare to be killed by one....a poisonous barb poking a hole in your heart is just dumb facking luck. crikey

The big question now is whether or not the sting ray be charged with manslaughter and/or murder?
Rest in peace Steve.

i just heard the news too...pretty big shock, even though I knew it was coming sooner or later. Bad thing is thats only the 3rd case of a sting ray attack killing someone in australia.

Even though it was doing something he loved, that's still a bad way to go.

this is sad... he was one of the few good people left on TV. I feel for his family, but like was said, at least he died doing what he loved.

Why couldn't this happen to Geraldo?

That's really sad to hear. I really liked him.

...but it was almost inevitable that something fatal would happen. He and a few others like him, really push the limits with these dangerous animals.
