I took a can of carb cleaner that sprayed my throttle bottle and all around by the cable. It worked for me.

Yeah i had this problem for a while and it was really annoying, i would have to jab the throttle just to unstick the pedal. What you can do if i remember correctly is adjust your idle screw to where it would be idling higher, so that the initial position of the butterfly or whatever is past the point to where it used to stick. If this fixes the problem, then you'll know that it was in fact the sticky butterfly in the TB. So just clean that up so that it wont stick anymore, adjust the idle back down, and you'll be good to go.

Other than that you can always make sure the cable isn't getting crimped anywhere etc.

Yep, get under the hood and open the throttle with the throttle linkage itself. If it sticks there, you just removed the cable and gas pedal as being it.

Grandmaster's advice is an easy fix (or whipping out the dremel).

Good luck.

The throttle should not bind, no matter who is driving.

DITTO!

i bought one of these"fine" pieces of junk and it stuck first opening and all the way open, not to mention the whistle from it was louder than my flowmaster dumped. Somthing else i noticed when i was trying to delete my IAC, without that bypass around the throttle plate, the vacuum was so great on that plate it would stick until sufficient air flow got past it. really anoying.

somthing you can try is take the ball that is part of the linkage, polish it with a scoth brite pad and lube up the linkage.

The method i posted above is a pretty good way to start pin-pointing the problem. Just adjust the idle screw in to raise the idle, and if that fixes the problem you'll know it was a sticking butterfly. If that doesn't fix it you'll know it's something else. It'll take just a sec to do and check.

when i was having idling prob, i accidently fixed this prob...all i did was clean out my throttle body with a spray cleaner...just take some cleaner and open your throttle body and spray where the butterfly usually sits...its prob just got a carbon buildup and its making it stick
