Sticky tach Jumpy Speedo

Hey guys 91 Gt with 98k and the tach likes to stick occasionally. Any ideas what to do? Anything I can clean. Also the speedo gets jumpy at times too. How tough is it to remove cable and clean and lube and what about the gear in the tranny? It has an AOD.

Anybody want to trade some 3.73s or 3.55s for some lightly used 4.10s?

the speedo cable you can get to by removing the cluster. you should be able to put some kind of lube in there and then drive it for a little bit and the lube will work its way down the cable and hopefully fix the binding issue. if that doesn't help, you'll have to replace the cable. mine stopped working one day, it had burned itself on the header and melted straight thru.

as for the tach, get an aftermarket. the stock tach is notorious for being wrong.
