I've had a dying when warm problem for a while now and still haven't figured it out. I have a 90 5.0 lx with a e303 cam, roller rockers, rebuilt 19lb injectors and flowtech shorty headers. The car was fine for a while after the mods then one day just died at a red light. The only code from the computer is 94, I've checked the smog pump, relays and valves and all are working fine. I've also changed the ignition module and pick up coil- still no help. After dying it starts right back up then dies after a minute or two. Fire and fuel look fine. Could it be the cats??? The right sides look darker than the left and I smell something when it starts acting up(but not rotten egg ish):(

Can you get it to not restart and then test for spark and injector pulsing?

Is the idle set pretty low (could it be an IAC issue)? In other words, if you feather the gas, will it stay running, when it otherwise would have stalled out?

It want's to die even when feathering the gas. Even got it pop back thru the intake a couple of times. I've even set the idle all the way up and ended up dying anyway.

Finally fixed dies when warm problem

I worked on the above problem for months and many of you in here tried to help as well. Turns out it took my brother 5 minutes to find the problem. The egr valve was sticking open intermittently, causing the idle/dying problem after driving.

Thanks to those that helped and I hope this saves someone else some grief.

Caught the problem by running a contant vacuum to the valve and reving the motor then remove the vacuum and watch the diaphram should come right back. Just FYI.
