I can't get the strut nut off, or any of the other 3 nuts/bolts that are holding the factory plates on. They are on so stinkin tight. I tried sliding a screwdriver in the slot on the strut bolt, and holding it while turning the nut with an open end wrench, and it freakin broke the screwdriver tip off! I tried another screwdriver, and it started to pry open my wrench. I soaked it with some Liquid wrench twice, and still couldn't get them broke loose. Can I take it to a shop and have them cut the nuts and bolts off somehow? Or am I just screwed?

Just an impact wrench should break it loose? Cus I don't have a 1/2" impact, all I have is a 3/8". I can get one if it will work though.

huh? I can get enough torque on the wrench, but it's either breaking the tips of the screwdrivers, or breaking the wrench, or just twisting the whole stinkin strut.

Yep, thats a bitch job for doing at home. I had luck with 1 of mine, but i ended up sawzalling the passenger side strut off (was replacing) because it was being stubborn.

A 1/2" impact with good pressure should zip it right off. A torch might help as well.
