Stock 351 Windsor Heads On Stock 302 ???

Hello I Have A Buddy That Has A Set Of New, Stock 351 Windor Heads. Will These Fit My Stock 84 Gt 5.0 302 And Will They Be A Performance Plus For It?? Well My 302 Is Not All Stock. I Have A Compcam 456 Lift 268 Duration, Shorty Headers, Underdrive Pulleys, H Pipe, 373 Gears. Most Of The Easy Ad Ons

The 351w heads made after 1978 have basically the same size ports and valves as 302 heads.The only good 351w heads are the early ones made from 1969 until the mid 70's.Find out what year they are or the casting number as you might be buying what you already have.

the heads will fit. you just need to get head bolt bushings, or a tapered bolt made to put 351 heads on a 302 block.

yeah, unless they are heads off of a Lightning (GT40 heads), or 60's heads, they'll be the same thing you already have on your mustang, a truck head....

i have 351 windsor heads and they made a very significant difference on my engine. be sure that they have a hardened exhaust valve seat or unleaded gas will tear them up.
