The stock cam is really tame and shouldn't really be causing any lope. Stock GT cam up to 8/10/88: Advertised duration 266/266 0.050" lift duration 210/210 Lobe lift 0.278"/0.278" Valve lift 0.444"/0.444" LSA 115* ICA 116* ECA 114* Stock GT cam after 8/10/88: Advertised duration 276/266 0.050" lift duration 214/210 Lobe lift 0.278"/0.278" Valve lift 0.445"/0.445" LSA 115.5* ICA 118* ECA 113*

Well, since August is the start of the next year model, you might as well say that 85-88 models have the first cam, and 89-95 models use the 2nd cam. I have always heard that 85-86 engines have a separate cam spec too... but I don't know that for sure. As other stock cams go, those are some pretty racey specs... However, I wouldn't expect to hear much lope out of it with such high LSAs.

Opening duration is pretty modest and with the wide LSA, there's not much valve overlap.
