Stock 5.0 pistons forged??????

Expanding on that..Yes but don't get caught up in the internet HYPE about "Hyp" pistons vs forged. Forged break too. And there are MANY examples of folks that use hyper pistons in there cars with blowers, turbos and of course n/a. Not IDEAL but definitely doable and the secret is all in the tune. ;)
 
It was until the last two months of the 92 model year that you got forged slugs.

A crude clue that is often accurate about the fox III's is that if the oil pan is painted grey (OEM), it's got forged slugs. If it's black (OEM), it's got hypereutectic pistons.
