Stock Auto Shifter replacement suggestions

I have a 90 GT vert and am looking for shifter I can use to replace the stocker but retain the console surround? Not looking for anything to enhance performance so ratching and what not are not needed.

I believe the B&M hammer shifter works, but you'll probably have to trim the base of it to make it fit.

Also Mustang Parts & Accessories - 50resto sells a different shaped chrome shift handle to install on the stock shifter if you are just wanting to change the look. I have no expereince with that product though.

B&M hammer fits nice with no mods .I got one like new around here still in box . Was on car for 3 month before AOD exploded .

The B&M Hammer is a real nice shifter, I had it in my car for 3 years before going stick.

The hammer shifter is a direct fit for our mustangs, if you get the hammer shifter make sure to get the b&m 81002 model, it is the mustang specific one. I still have mine brand new in the box, not installed yet, waiting until I get my stroker and new tranny in.

I'll throw another vote in for the Hammer...my buddy had one in his GT back when it was an AOD and it was cool for an automatic.

Everyone else already mentioned it, but the Hammer fits Mustangs and works well. Had mine with no problems for more than 6 years now. Here's a crummy pic:
