yes you did.

IMVHO though if your going to put a forged crank, rods, pistons, along with heads, cam, intake and spend some good money on them...you should expect to spend some coin on as good of a block...you dont have to get the top of the line Dart they too have a sportsman that would handle some good power.

You said slim to none...I said it will be higher than 0 (joking, that it will be higher than that by a good amount). How does that agree with slim to none ?

What were the strongest of the W blocks? Im getting a free shortblock from somewhere in the 70's with aftermarket pistons (/40 over), an aftermarket cam and more. Ill let you know al the specs tonight after I pick it up.

wow i didn't expect this to strike up such a big discussion i was just reading it in 5.0 while i was at work waiting on some cars to come in. They just stated that the 69 was a stout block and could handle some good power. he received it for 150 and then added a forged crank and built it up of course this was a engine shop actually. Carl McQuillen out of New York was the one doing it . Check it out in 5.0 it's a good write up.
