NICE!!! And how much boost? Good move with the 42s vs the 60s. The 60s eat up more gas durring cruize conditions...not as effecient at low pulse widths.

Can you keep the stock block if you get forged internals? or do you need to get a new block with it? im new to the forced induction stuff and im looking at getting a blower really soon i just need to find out what else ill need to make it work fine without a worry of blowing it up

Your stock block is actually better than a new one. It has already been torque and heat stressed. Just need to get a machine shop to clean it up a little and you are good to go. Throw some forged internals in it and hold on!!! i got my internals from Sean Hyland Motorsports. They seem to be taking some bad press lately but i don't know why. I have never had problems with them.

from what I have read the rods are the week point and rpms can be a killer. Now obviouly so it detonation.

I would run a safe tune and not rev it much past 5700-5800.

I personally don't think it is the amount of power you are making as it is overspining the engine or ans usafe tune.

I only say that because I have seen guys with welll over 500hp on the stock block but most of them said it was a conservative tune and they did not rev the engine that hard.

also 60's seem a bit large but I am not a tuner. I don't know why you would not just run 42's and run around 400-425hp until you forge the engine.

unless you are buying the 60's because you will be forging the engine sonner rather than later and want to shoot for the moon hp wise.

it's all in the tune man & how you drive. i'm making 441 to the tires with a VERY conservative tune (10:1 a/f & 10* of timing). the key to it is to not beat on it constantly & it'll do just fine
